Lisa Amador is the founder of Santa Barbara Matchmaking which is celebrating it’s 4th year in business this Valentine’s Day. “It’s a discreet, upscale matchmaking company for successful, commitment-minded singles in Santa Barbara, Central and Southern California,” she said.

SB Matchmaking offers matchmaking, date coaching, online dating assistance, as well as image and wardrobe consultations. During the past four years, the company’s efforts for singles have resulted in scores of relationships, some marriages and even a baby. Lisa loves her work, her company’s motto is “We Make Love Every Day.”

Lisa is on the NAWBO board of directors and has been a member since 2015. She’s also a WEV, Women’s Economic Ventures graduate and Thrive in Five member. Prior to starting her current business, she has had several other enterprises including a paragliding business in Oregon and a helicopter firefighting/construction business in Colorado. She also is a skilled sailor and speaks French.

This year, Lisa’s company is giving some of the proceeds from her events to One Percent for the Planet, whose mission is to build, support and activate an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet. The 10-year-old nonprofit has more than $100 million invested in positive environmental change by its member companies.

“It’s only natural that singles around Santa Barbara would want to have a healthy relationship in a healthy environment,” Lisa said. “SB Matchmaking supports One Percent for the Planet because we all want a beautiful community to live and love in.”

Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from George Washington University. She is married to Michael Amador, the food and beverage manager at La Cumbre Country Club and mother of Tally, Max and Jack. Lisa feels very blessed to live in Santa Barbara, a supportive community that has helped her thrive and do what she loves best, create love everyday.
